RHP-BOS-RC-IF
RC-IF Remote Control Interface for the FLIR Boson and Boson+
Ideal for sUAS and UAV operations, the RHP-BOS-RC-IF for FLIR Boson offers a streamlined way to control the FLIR Boson thermal imaging camera. Weighing only 5.8 grams, this device features 6 to 26 Volts DC Input with reverse polarity protection, ensuring safe and reliable operations. With the available S-Bus and PWM connections, drone pilots can easily manipulate their FLIR Boson parameters – Remotely! Additionally, this interface includes USB video support, two composite video outputs, and a USB video output for added convenience.
Integrating the Boson Thermal Camera into your UAS has never been easier.
Control the Boson Camera Remotely
The RHP-BOS-RC-IF allows you to control the Boson camera remotely using a 16 Channel S-Bus Signal or up to 5 PWM Signals from your wireless Joystick Remote Control System.
Assign Parameters
Any available parameter on the Boson can be assigned to knobs, switches or levers on a Joystick Remote Controller or direction pad and adjust camera parameters ‘on-the-fly’.
Reverse Polarity Protected
With the intelligent polarity sensing protection, the RHP-BOS-RC-IF can be powered from the 4-Pin JST to USB or 6-Pin JST with a 5-26VDC power source
16 Channel S-Bus & 5 Channel PWM Remote Control Interface Module
- Control Camera Features Remotely
- Powers RC Wireless Receiver
- Wide Input Voltage Range
- Reverse Polarity Protection
- Dual Video Outputs
- Setup and Calibration Software Included
The lock nut tool will attach to a torque wrench for proper tightening of the lens locking ring. Torque the locking ring to 4.0 in-lbs.
Teledyne FLIR Tau WFOV Lens Mount - Locking Ring Install / Removal Tool
The lens locking ring is designed to mount a Tau WFOV camera into a bulkhead. The M29 x 1.0 thread on the outside of the lens mount flange is placed through the clearance hole in the bulkhead and the O-ring seals the camera to the face.
The Type 2-025 O-ring is not for sale through FLIR. This is a standard O-ring available from many suppliers.
The focus-tool accessory, allows any FLIR Boson lens which cannot be focused by hand to be focused by engaging the appropriate slots on the lens barrel such that it can be rotated inside the lens flange. (The focus tool has been properly sized such that no vignetting results when it engages the slots on the lens barrel.) Note that lens configurations with focal length >25mm do not require a focus tool since focus is achieved by simply turning the outer barrel of the lens assembly by hand.
This product is NOT compatible with the following FLIR Boson Thermal Imagers:
Boson Tripod Mount
The Tripod-mount accessory, provides a means to mount a Boson assembly (or a Boson configured with either the VPC Accessory or the Camera Link Accessory) to a tripod via a standard 1/4-20 thread. It is designed to interface to the rear of the Boson via 4 x M1.6 screws.
FLIR 12V 4" Blackbody Source
for ALC & Supplemental FFC, offers a uniform temperature source for FLIR Tau 2 Thermal Cameras.
Low cost 4-inch blackbody which provides a uniform temperature source when using FLIR's Alt Lens Cal software to field-calibrate lens-less Photon or Tau cameras with third-party lenses, or to take advantage of the Supplemental Flat Field Correction (FFC) option available in the Tau 2, Vue Pro and many other radiometric camera models.
A blackbody is an important contributor to accurate thermography. In theory, a blackbody is an object with a known emissivity of 1, which means that it perfectly absorbs and radiates all thermal energy. In practice, blackbody simulators based on the theoretical model have an emissivity ranging from 0.9 to 0.99. This is good enough to provide the information needed to correctly calibrate a thermal camera.
- The FLIR Blackbody requires DC Voltage and has an input range of 0-24VDC.
- There are two power input plugs on the side of the blackbody, red is positive voltage, and black is ground.
- The kit includes one power supply that outputs 12VDC and gives an approximate blackbody temperature of 60° C / 140° F.
Temperature settings can be modified by the customer, depending on the power supply voltage. A voltage-to-approximate-temperature conversion table is provided.
Max Voltage 24VDC, Max Current 2.5 ADC
