RC-IF Remote Control Interface for the FLIR Boson

Control the Teledyne FLIR BOSON remotely with the "RC-IF" Remote Control Interface.
Two Composite Video Outputs allow connections to separate video devices, with no signal loss.

Control the Boson Camera Remotely

The RHP-BOS-RC-IF allows you to control the Boson camera remotely using a 16 Channel S-Bus Signal or up to 5 PWM Signals from your wireless Joystick Remote Control System.

Assign Parameters

Any available parameter on the Boson can be assigned to knobs, switches or levers on a Joystick Remote Controller or direction pad and adjust camera parameters ‘on-the-fly’.

Reverse Polarity Protected

With the intelligent polarity sensing protection, the RHP-BOS-RC-IF can be powered from the 4-Pin JST to USB or 6-Pin JST with a 5-26VDC power source

Interface Assemblies Frequently Asked Questions

The FLIR Boson requires at least one interface board to allow Power and acquire Video from it's high-density connector. 

The most popular board in our product list is the Low Profile VPC module. It allows for power input, streaming USB and composite analog video as well as controlling the cameras settings.

For video acquisition and control you will need to use the Boson Controller GUI 3.0 available from Teledyne FLIR. 

With  the RHP Boson interface boards, you may also use the RHP Boson GUI

If the USB Sensor in the Teledyne FLIR Boson is not triggered (on startup) with the proper voltage for USB-3, it will default to USB-2.

There are three ways to correct this. 

  1. Disconnect the device from the PC and reconnect.  
  2. When powering from a PC, it is best to connect USB-3 after the computer has booted up. 
  3. In some cases, the RHP-BOS-VPC3-IF can be modified to disable the voltage protection.
