EXPORT CONTROLLED PRODUCT :
FLIR 320x240 60Hz and 30Hz Fast-Video and 640x480 30Hz Fast-Video (>9Hz) uncooled LWIR Thermal Camera Core products are export controlled and require validated export licenses from the U.S. Department of Commerce prior to export or re-export outside of the United States to certain countries. Strategic Trade Authorized (STA) Countries are an exception. In circumstances whereby "RHP International" delivers a camera to a customer in the U.S. who intends to export or re-export the FLIR camera outside of the United States, whether or not the camera is integrated into another product, it is the customer’s responsibility to apply for the required export license from the appropriate department of the U.S. government. Diversion contrary to U.S. law is prohibited. See below for a list of STA countries and other Export information.
The Export Conditions page details information regarding what countries thermal cameras can be exported to.
Tau™ 2
LONGWAVE INFRARED THERMAL CAMERA CORE
Tau® 2 thermal imaging cameras offer an unmatched set of features, making them well-suited for demanding applications like Unmanned Airborne Vehicles (UAVs), thermal sights, and handheld imagers. Improved electronics provide powerful image processing modes that dramatically improve detail and contrast. Its options include full radiometry, increased sensitivity (<30mK), and 640/60Hz frame rates. Since the Tau 2 640 and 336 configurations share electrical functions, common integrations can be designed that work seamlessly with both formats.

LOADED WITH FEATURES; READY FOR MORE
Advanced electronics and image processing give Tau an unprecedented feature set, and make it ready for your next big idea.

POWERFUL IMAGING PROVIDES EXPANDED CAPABILITY
Tau 2's expanded capability ensures accurate temperature measurement for radiometry, analytics and telemetry.

INFORMATION-BASED HISTOGRAM EQUALIZATION (HEQ)
HEQ automatically adjusts image contrast to let you see what matters most in a scene, and give you the image detail that makes a difference.
ACCURATE TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT
Supports radiometry, analytics and telemetry
• TLinear output places temperature data in each pixel
• Adjustable isotherm thresholds colorize temperatures of interest
• Rugged and reliable in all terrain
IMPROVED IMAGE PROCESSING
For clearer imagery, edge sharpening, and contrast
• Second generation Digital Detail Enhancement (DDE)
• Active Contrast Enhancement (ACE)
• Smart Scene Optimization (SSO)
• Information Based HEQ (IBHEQ) automatically adjusts AGC
• Silent Shutterless NUC for continuous image improvement
